My sister was in town and we were looking for something new. From the moment we walked in the door the experience was amazing. The host was vibrant and welcoming. We had the best waitress ever. I felt like I was in my own home eating with friends.
We ordered the chips for an appetizer. I want to go back and eat them everyday. You can choose a meat and I had brisket on them. I also tried the ribs, cole slaw and beans. They also have cane sugar fountain drinks. The food was just so good. It's also one of the only places that have lunch specials on Saturday until 2pm. There is outside seating by a fountain. And herbs growing in the planters around the patio.
It was some of the best service and food I've had. They have a customer for life! -

Okay i have very mixed reviews of this place and my experience and I wish we could do half stars!
Location- 5 stars. awesome. Patio is along the creek. The inside is adorable and has an awesome bar. Great place to go after work for a meal or a drink.
Service - 3 stars. overall friendly although our waitress wasn't the most knowledgeable about the food on the menu.
Food-
Grits- 1 star. I've lived in the south for the last 4 years and I LOVE grits. Whatever side I had was nothing close to grits. I had maybe one bite of it. So that was sad.
Brussels sprouts appetizer - okay. Good flavor. Not too oily. 3.5 if I could.
Pulled chicken- 4 stars. good. Moist. Good portion in the platter.
Fish and chips - the fried catfish was delicious! Way better than I expected and I'd def order the blackened catfish entree next time. 5 stars for that, 4 for fries.
Drinks-
The Smokey old fashioned was not good- 1 Star. They had issues with the smoker which may have been why.
I had a $10 glass of a cab which was eh- 3 stars.
Specials - they have a taco Tuesday which for $14 is unlimited that id def wanna try. They also have half off bottles of wine on Wednesday's.
Overall mixed experience- great catfish. Horribly sad grits. Awesome location. Eh drinks. Will likely be back.
Closer to 3.5 -

Had brunch there on Mother's Day this year. I really dislike going to restaurants on mother's day because they are packed, the staff is worked to a frazzle, and the food is often poor quality and over priced. That was NOT the case with Barrel and Boar Creekside location this year. It's maybe not your traditional mother's day fare, but what they did, they did well. I ordered the ribs, and they were meatly, lean, fall of the bone tender and tasty. Someone else in my party ordered the catfish, and it likewise was flavorful and well-prepared (fish is often overcooked, but this was great). Someone else ordered the salad. Lots of fresh greens and ripe berries. Our server was pleasant and patient, even though she had to pick up an extra shift because someone called out.
It was my first visit to the restaurant, and I would definitely go back. The only reason that I didn't give this a 5 star rating is that I think it should be reserved for fine dining, high end places. But they do what they do very well.
If a restaurant can be this good on mother's day, I think they are definitely worth visiting. -

In town for the weekend. Friend suggested meeting for lunch at this restaurant. Beautiful location. We sat outside. Service was good. We had hushpuppies as appetizer. Delicious. Liked the honey butter. Our meals were just "OK". Nothing "wow'd" us though. Ribs weren't good. Brussel sprouts were hard. Burger was good. Kids meal, well cant mess up toasted cheese sandwich. Glad we tried it. Onward to another dining experience

Best. Cornbread. EVER. Visited B&B during a business trip last month and have been dreaming about their amazing cornbread ever since. Great experience overall: fantastic customer service, great brisket and spot-on drinks. Patio is beautiful and cozy. Love love love!
